Climate Change Solutions Pavilion in the Trade Fair

Each day at the trade fair, TEAM hosted a series of technical presentations by some of Canada's leading innovators in the field of climate change technology in the Climate Change Solutions Pavilion in the Trade Fair. Topics for this 3-day series included: Enabling Alternative Fuels; Optimizing Integrated Energy Solutions; and Sustainable Energy Solutions. "THE WORLD TOMORROW"
Photographic Exhibit

After touring exhibitions in Europe, the photographic exposition "The World Tomorrow" was unveiled for the first time in North America at GLOBE 2008. Using sophisticated photographic effects, this exhibit is a stunning re-creation of six climate scenarios and their potential effects on our planet.


BOOK SIGNING AT GLOBE 2008

On Friday, March 14, professor Mark Jaccard was available to sign copies of "HOT AIR Meeting Canada's Climate Change Challenge" from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM. There was a book seller located in the concourse of the venue from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and books were available for purchase on site. CZECH REPUBLIC ENVIRONMENTAL FILM SERIES

The Czech Embassy in Ottawa, a participant at the GLOBE 2008 Trade Fair, presented a film series on the afternoon of Friday, March 14, 2008 from 1 pm to 6 pm at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. The environmental award winning films were previously shown at the EKOFILM Festival in the Czech Republic and at other international festivals.
